Creative Launches New TravelSound for iPod Nano (4th gen) Video

We covered the TravelSound i85 awhile back when it was exclusive to Argos in UK. Today, Creative officially announce the availability of the new travel speaker for iPod Nano 4th Gen for the rest of the world, below are the key features:

-Ultra-compact, portable docking speaker with integrated FM radio tuner, for iPod nano
-Four microdrivers for spatial and superior audio quality
-Built-in lithium polymer (Li-Po) rechargeable battery delivers up to 15 hours playtime/charge
-USB port recharges both the speaker and iPod. Also supports the transfer of music, photos & videos
-Alarm Clock function (via iPod) lets users wake up to their favourite music
-Stand (included) allows users to view photos and videos in portrait or landscape -System turns off automatically when iPod is powered-down or undocked

The Creative TravelSound for iPod nano (model i85) will be available at The CREATIVE Stores at Marina Square and International Business Park, the online store at sg.store.creative.com and authorised dealers in Singapore from early May 2009 onwards at a suggested retail price of S$149.00.

TravelSound i85 for iPod Nano 4th Gen

We have seen glimpses of the latest TravelSound i85 at the recent CES. Now it's officially released for the European region in an exclusive deal with Argos. The i85 will dock the iPod Nano 4th Generation perfectly and will enable the in-built FM Radio function of the iPod Nano. Besides a battery life of 15 hours, it is also able to sync and charge the iPod when connected to the computer. What I like best about this TravelSound is the in-built re-chargeable battery and the lanyard which double up as an antenna for the player.

TravelSound now in Apple Store

Under the Made for iPod programme, Creative have several products made specially for the iPod which includes speakers, Xdock, earphones etc. You can now purchase the TravelSound i80 (pictured above, for the iPod Nano 3rd and 4th GEN) @ US$79.95 and the TravelSound i50 (for the iPod Shuffle 2nd GEN) @ US$59.95. Personally, I think the i80 is the best looking TravelSound, but I simply can't bring myself to buy a Nano to use it. So if you already have an iPod Nano or Shuffle, head down to Apple's online store and grab these two awesome looking (and sounding) speakers before they are gone!

PlayDock i - Creative's first "Made for iPod" Product

The Creative PlayDock i was launched quietly on the US site today. The is the first "Made for iPod" product that Creative is introducing after earlier settlement with Apple over infringment of its ZEN patent. Of course I would not say this speaker is ground breaking or anything, but considering the grudges that the two companies have against each other, this is a positive step forward. So for all of you who love the sleekness of the iPod and clarity of Creative speakers, you can now have the best of both worlds. The PlayDock i would retail at SGD$299 this christmas.
