Xmod for X-Fi

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

A year ago, Creative introduced the Sound Blaster X-Fi, a new line of sound cards which promise to improve music playback quality for audio song files to beyond the original CD quality. Technically, it's very promising. But pick-up rate have been relatively slow as majority of PC now comes with in-bulit soundcard and it's erm, expensive (it's cheapest soundcard retails at SGD$199).

Now, Creative introduce the Xmod (USD$79.99). To put it in simply, it is an external X-Fi device which allows you to re-master all your songs simply by connecting your Mp3 player, notebook etc to the device and then out into a speaker or headphone. The amazing thing about this is that you can enjoy THX surround sound of your movies using even the most ordinary speakers.

Check out the Demo at the X-Fi site!
