Creative ZEN X-Fi Firmware 1.04.08

Fixes:
-Ensures a smoother operation of your player's FM Radio.
-Enables seamless playback for more types of videos.*
-Ensures the correct playback pattern for the Shuffle playmode.
-For players with wireless networking features, this firmware enables your player to effectively set up the IM chat gateways.

*This firmware provides a fix for users encountering issues during video file playback. However it does not increase the number of video playback format on the ZEN X-Fi. Although not stated, this firmware also improve the X-Fi enhancement on audio playback.

I noticed the X-fi Crystal thing makes it the best sounding mp3 player after the update, no doubt about it.

Does anyone know what kind of video files Creative is referring to?

Anonymous: Just dowmload the firmware from the site, double click on it when its done, connect your ZEN X-Fi and click "upgrade".

Aaron: No, Creative did not specify for while video files format. All it says is that it improves video playback.

I got a message back from support stating that apparently there were some videos that did not play even after being run through Creative Zen Video Converter. They have supposedly fixed this with the firmware update. The one item I wish they would add, Global Motion Compensation for XVID, is still a no-go. How about h.264? That would be nice too.

Can anyone tell if you can play your songs directly from SDHC card or not?

Also, can we expect to get a Zen X-Fi with 5.1 output (to plug into home or car audio system)?
