Creative ZEN X-Fi Firmware 1.03.01
The new firmware manages your player's audio enhancements to give you the optimum X-Fi listening experience. Apparently, the new firmware makes the X-Fi effect less dramatic.
**DO NOT INSTALL THIS FIRMWARE IF YOU LIKE YOUR CURRENT X-FI SETTINGS**
In my testing of the previous firmware, Using a Custom EQ and X-Fi Crystalizer at the same time caused very low and very high frequencies to distort on occasion. This is no longer the case in firmware 1.03.01, however there is one drawback as a result. While the X-Fi Crystalizer is set to On or Max, ALL EQ is disabled, effectively applying the X-Fi enhancement without applying the EQ. Still, the Crystalizer sounds fantastic as it always has beyond the original firmware.
